S&P 500

The stock index Standard&Poor’s 500 is one of the major stock indexes in the USA. It is calculated by Standard&Poor’s. The index includes the 500 largest companies by the market capitalization of the American stock market, which makes it the most accurate indicator reflecting the dynamics of the American economy. It has been published since March 4, 1957.

S&P500 Index is one of the fullest reflections of investor expectations regarding the economic growth in the US in general by not depending much on the situation in separate companies and sectors.
