RUSSELL 2000

Americanstock index The Russell 2000 is one of the most popular instruments reflecting the dynamics of small companies on the US stock market. The companies of the financial sector, high-technology sector and sector for durable goods production have the most extensive representation in the index.
It has been published since July 19, 1991.

The Russell 2000 can potentially be more dynamic than than the S&P400 or S&P500 because of higher fluctations in small company shares. Apart from that the index also reflects the US economic growth with priority in financial, technological and consumer sectors.
