Cocoa

Cocoa is a crop used mostly in confectionery to produce chocolate.

As a rule, cocoa prices depend very much upon the weather in the countries it is produced, the most important one being the Ivory Coast, where 30% of the world's harvest is gathered. With Ghana, Indonesia and Nigeria, they make up the four leading cocoa producers, the share totaling up to 70%.

Cocoa contracts start trading electronically on Monday at 9 AM in London and finish at 4:50 PM on Friday.
