The US stock markets have not long reopened for live trading and it has been a modestly higher start to the session. The Dow Jones is leading the gains, rising to a high just now at 38,934 after reopening at 38,858. The index had closed yesterday at 38,852. The dollar is still under a modicum of pressure and that is as US bond rise and yields fall. The US 10 year note is now below 4.45% and the 2 Year note is approaching 4.80%. The price action across the stock markets is pretty contained and volatility relatively low at this early stage, given the lack of significant fresh news and no US data releases today. The Dow Jones is currently trading at 38,916
