A Final reminder about Quick News updates next week

As noted a couple of times this week, there will be no Quick News updates next week. That is due to absence. However, there are some important events/data releases due next week that should be brought to your attention. Firstly late on Sunday Loan prime rates as set by the PBOC. The Fed chair is due to speak that day too. We have RBA meeting minutes very early Tuesday morning. The RNBZ monetary policy decision is due at 2am GMT Wednesday May 22 (expected unchanged at 5.5%). UK April CPI and RPI inflation reports are due at 6am GMT Wednesday May 22. Later that day, at 6pm GMT we have the release of the Fed policy meeting minutes. Friday May 24 we have UK retail sales at 6am GMT and Canadian March retail sales are due at 12.30pm GMT. There is also a plethora of Central Bank speakers due to talk at various times during the week, from the Fed, ECB, BOE and the SNB. So, if you are involved in the markets next week you will need to be mindful of that too. All things being equal, Quick News updates will resume on Monday May 27.
