Dollar index (USDX) reclaims the 100 handle this morning

The dollar sure has battled back well since the start of the week and this morning that has seen the Dollar index rise above the 100 handle once more. The index had closed in the US last night at 99.99 after it managed to push above the noted, modest resistance in place at 99.86.

The high seen this morning was set not long ago, at 100.05. There is nothing much to note in terms of any topside resistance this side of 100.46 (the high seen Friday) and on the downside we have the low seen yesterday during the Asian session, at 99.41.

The major driver for the further gains in the index this morning is clearly stemming from the rebound in the USD/JPY, as that still leads all the major pairs and looks like continuing to do so for the immediate future. The index is right now at 100.02
