The USD/JPY has just now fallen back and set a fresh session low a moment ago, at 158.56. The move lower in this pair has helped to lift the GBP/USD and the EUR/USD but relative to the fall in the USD/JPY, not by that much yet.
The driver for the fall in the USD/JPY once again appears to rest with the US 30 year treasury bond, as the yield there has now fallen back slightly from earlier levels. We did repeat earlier today how it would be wise to keep an eye on that markets again today. So, as you can see, that has so far proved the right thing to do. The USD/JPY is right now at 158.59
