Dollar index (USDX) on the rebound as US PMI data looms

Very shortly, at 1.45pm GMT the US will release their August flash PMI data, which is the same report as we saw earlier, from France, Germany, the EU and the UK. The markets are expecting slightly lower or unchanged readings and we shall be back when that data hits the screens in a couple of minutes.

Meantime, the dollar has been paring losses over the past couple of hours and that has seen the Dollar index hold a low at 98.56 and hold just above the low point seen yesterday, at 98.55. The rebound has seen the index rise back close to the earlier session high, at 98.83. The index is right now at 98.78
