Silver (XAG/USD) on the side again setting a new 2026 low

Yesterday evening as Gold lifted and traded above $4,080 later in the evening, that helped Silver to push higher too. So, the lesser metal made a push above $54.50, peaking around $54.60, but it was unable to hold all the gains into the US close, at $53.98.

The price action this morning is not so clever though, because it has just now fallen below the low point seen on Tuesday, when it based at $52.66. Silver just now hit a fresh 2026 low, at $52.60. As you can see this new low has come even as Gold still holds positive ground on the day, albeit only just and so the disconnect between the two is clear to see. We remain rather concerned about this latest slide in Silver and once again that seems to highlight the risks of a deeper relapse. We shall have to see about that, but it is looking fragile this morning for sure. Silver is right now at $52.62
