Nasdaq 100 opens in the red as GOOGL sinks

The US stock markets have just reopened and it has been a lower start to the day for the Nasdaq 100. Whilst we do not yet have an exact opening price it was not much above the 29,400 handle and hence well adrift of the close last night, at 29,813. The Dow Jones is lower too and outside of the US PCE and GDP data, it was the miss and reaction to the Caterpillar results that also really sent it lower for the opening. The Nasdaq 100 is now falling harder in the first few minutes of live trade. Shares in Alphabet (GOOGL) are lower by some 13% in opening trade. The Nasdaq 100 is right now at 29,290
