Now Brent takes out $103 and US stock futures do not like it much

Just a moment ago oil prices lurched higher again and that has seen the price of Brent crude for November delivery top $103 per barrel. There seems no direct news based catalyst for the move and out comes literally a couple of minutes ahead of the latest OPEC monthly report. So, it could change course again. Brent is right now at $103.40

The impact of that further rise has not been lost on the wider markets and the US equity futures do not seem to care much for it either. The S+P 500 futures are right now on session lows, indicating an opening below 7,628 just now, where the index had closed last night at 7,636.36
