Dow Jones sure kicks off on the front foot this afternoon

We shall come back later perhaps with the precise opening for the Dow Jones this afternoon, but suffice to say it was markedly higher and effectively well above 52,600. That makes the Dow the best performer amongst the 3 majors in very early trading this afternoon. The markets are fully risk-on right now and that has seen Gold extend the reversal move we noted after it had slumped below $4,300.

It has since lifted more than $100 from the earlier, post CPI low. US yields are now lower this afternoon and that has helped the Dow as much as it had dented the USD/JPY and helped Gold, which incidentally just tested the $4,400 handle. The Dow Jones is right now at 52,695
