DAX pushing closer to a new record in early trading
Earlier this morning we noted how the DAX was set for a higher opening today and that is exactly how it played out. We also noted how the index was pushing closer to the record high, at 26,573 it had set on August 12. Well, the index is not far off that record right now and it is once again the standout major European performer in early trading. The index has just now touched 26,550 and clearly within striking distance of a new record today. The index is right now at 26,540
