A couple of minutes ago the Q2 German GDP data was revised slightly higher. Q2 growth rose by 0.3%, where it was estimated previously at 0.2%. That transposed into an upward revision, from 0.9% to 1% for the annualised rate. Ok, so hardly much to shout about, but a positive revision all the same. The EUR/USD has blinked and ignored that though, but the news has helped the DAX futures a little.
The index futures have since adjusted the opening call close to 26,200. The DAX had closed yesterday at 26,106, with a modest loss of 29 points on the session. The outlook for the opening this morning was already being supported by gains in the Nasdaq 100 futures, as we mentioned earlier and this data has seemingly helped to cement that a little more. The DAX is currently priced to reopen around 26,190
