Big names reporting this week on the Nasdaq 100-futures slightly in the red this morning

We shall look at the finer detail in due course, but this week we have 3 of the biggest tech companies reporting their Q3 earnings. On Wednesday, just after the US closing bell and the Fed decision we get results from Alphabet (GOOGL) and Microsoft (MSFT). Then on Thursday around the same time we have Amazon (AMZN) reporting.

We should also note that all three of these outfits are S+P 500 stocks and there is a plethora of S+P companies reporting over the course of this week. In terms of the Nasdaq 100, these 3 companies are in the top five by market weight and it is the same when it comes to their standing in the S+P 500 as well.

So, we shall be covering the prospects as this week unfolds and how those results and especially any Capex plans might impact the markets.  Meantime, as we noted a little earlier, the Nasdaq 100 futures are slightly in the red this morning. As we also noted earlier, the Nasdaq 100 closed virtually unchanged on Friday, down just 1 point, at 28,957. It is currently priced to reopen around 28,930
