Zcash

Zcash (ZEC) is an open source cryptocurrency created by Zerocoin Electric Coin Company, founded with privacy and transparency in mind. it was launched on 20th January 2016. Zcash is reported to have implemented the highest level of anonymity. As such, Edward Snowden considers it to be 'the most interesting Bitcoin alternative', while Interpol has expressed concern over Zcash growth. Its users mine Zcash, with the maximum number of coins being 21 million. New coins are issued with new block creation. The ZEC / USD rate depends entirely on supply and demand, with its real value being determined by its popularity and relevance.
