S+P 500 futures step further into the red

The opening outlook for the Nasdaq 100 has just now seen the futures price the lowest opening of the day so far, at around 28,840 and that has weighed on the broader market as defined by the S+P 500. The index traded as high as 7,515.31 yesterday and later closed 65.92 points higher, at 7,509.20. 

The opening this afternoon is not looking so positive right now. The index is priced to open around 7,475 and that is the lowest opening call of the day so far. The 50 day moving average more or less capped the downside yesterday, when the index traded as low as 7,467.86. 

That moving average will shift when live trading resumes, but it was in place as of the close last night, at 7,467.90.
