Silver (XAG/USD) still struggling for traction

Since the last update here on Silver it has been struggling to make any lasting progress so far this week. Indeed, it has not yet made it back above $60 per ounce. In the last update on the metal we noted how it had interim support around $55 ahead of truly major support around, or just below $50.

Silver has yet to recover back above $60 this week and the high seen has been set at $59.67. Last week it did top that $60 handle, peaking at $60.76 on Friday. The low seen this week has been set this morning, at $56.56. That is the lowest since it found a base on June 26, at $55.71. That price point is clearly still on the radar this week. The high seen earlier today was set at $57.92. Silver is currently trading at $56.72
