A new 2026 low for the EUR/USD as DAX balks at a higher opening
In the previous update we noted how the DAX futures were pointing to a slightly higher opening above 24,900. Well, that is not how it played out because the index fell immediately on the opening, which was not much above the 24,800 marker instead of above 24,900. The index is still falling back as we write and we note the low seen yesterday, at 24,728, which looks on the radar right now.
Meantime, the EUR/USD has continued to track lower and it now set a fresh 2026 low, at 1.1355. That has lifted the dollar index to above 101.55 just now. The EUR/USD is right now at 1.1355
