Nasdaq 100 was the weakest link for a change yesterday- futures rebound this morning

The Nasdaq 100 was the weakest of the 3 major US stock market indexes yesterday and that was something of a departure from what we have seen for several days now. So, the Nasdaq 100 handed back 1.08% by the close and that compared to losses of 0.60% for the Dow Jones and 0.58% for the S+P 500.

Actually, you know what? Given the surge in oil prices yesterday evening the US stock markets did not fare that badly in real terms and all three futures are higher this morning, as the oil price backs off.

So, the Nasdaq 100 traded as low as 29,038 yesterday following a close on Wednesday at 29,421. The index closed at 29,103, with a loss of 318 points on the day. The Nasdaq 100 futures are currently pricing the opening for later today at 29,205, but that call is going to change a good deal, one way, or the other before live trading resumes.
