Nasdaq 100 gets off to a really weak start
It is not exactly the surprise of the day, but the Nasdaq 100 has just this minute kicked-off the final session of the week and the month deeply in the red. The index closed last night at 29,402, but of course that was before the earnings reports from Amazon and Intel. The index just officially reopened at 28,604, which was actually below the lowest calls on the Nasdaq 100 since the close last night.
That has dented the opening for the S+P 500 and the Dow Jones too and all are well in the red in early trading. The Nasdaq 100 is just now setting fresh session lows at 28,565
