DAX runs out of steam as it falls to fresh session lows
As the US opening approaches and the Dow Jones futures continue to build on earlier gains, the US benchmark is now priced to reopen above 52,700. That comes as the Nasdaq 100 futures come off their worst levels. At the same time the DAX futures have long since turned lower. Earlier this morning the DAX rose as high as 25,553, but as we said before it failed to get above the high seen the day before, at 25,560.
Well, it has since fallen back more than 200 points from that high, even as the FTSE 100 holds gains above 10,800. In fact the DAX has just now hit fresh session lows, around 25,340. The index is currently trading at 25,355
