DAX hits fresh session lows as US markets prepare to kick off

The European stock markets might have gotten a short-term boost from the gains seen after the US data releases across the US futures, but that has just now been pared. In fact, as far as the DAX is concerned it has been more than that, because the index has just this minute fallen to fresh session lows. Obviously this might be a month-end rebalancing act, but if not the inference is clear. What might be good for the US markets might not necessarily count for the DAX. So, the DAX just now traded below 25,275.

Granted it is just off the lows as the US markets prepare to get underway, but at this stage, if the US markets do not press higher, then we might not have seen the lows in the DAX today. The index is right now at 25,295 and the one thing we can say with confidence; the price action is pretty rapid this afternoon and seems likely to stay that way
