Bitcoin steps back below 64k

The rise of Bitcoin yesterday saw it reach 65,527around the time of the 4pm London FX fix and that was followed by a relapse into the wider US market close. Earlier today it tried to rally again following a brief dip below 64,500. However, it was not able to vault the 65k handle and duly fell back further.

That fall has taken it as low as 63,842 and in the process just below the still falling 50 day moving average that it had busted above yesterday. That moving average is in place right now at 63,901. BTC has now edge back above that, but remains in the red on the day. As to whether it can regain momentum remains to be seen. It is currently trading at 64,033
