Another volatile and choppy session coming for the Dow Jones today

Well, we have pretty much covered all the major news so far today and how that has delivered highs and lows for the European stock markets and the US futures. We now look specifically at the Dow Jones, which took a hammering yesterday. We covered that earlier this morning, but since then the Dow Jones futures have been up and then back down again after Trump sent the markets into another tailspin.

So, earlier this morning the Dow Jones futures were pricing the opening as high as 50,345, which is some way above where the index closed last night, at 49,918, with a loss 953 points. The comments from Trump sent that opening call down as low as 50,065. The futures have now rebounded off that low and right now the index is still called to open higher in around 40 minutes.

One thing looks certain though; it is going to be another choppy and volatile session again today. The Dow Jones is right now priced to reopen around 50,200
