Change One Life, a charity organisation established with support from the Libertex Group, has been helping orphans in Ukraine find loving families since 2012. The continuous efforts of volunteers and collaborators have helped nearly 18,000 children to unite with their new families. We are proud of and grateful for these achievements, and we want the foundation to continue working to improve the lives of many more children.
We are thrilled to announce that the crowdfunding platform Global Giving has agreed to support this great cause by adding 50% to donations made to Change One Life. The 50% matching funds will be made for donations submitted between 13:00 UTC on Wednesday, 15 July, and 03:59 UTC on Thursday, 16 July 2020!
The foundation helps orphans across Ukraine find forever families by creating video profiles for them. This ensures that more people will be able to get to know the children and increases their chances of being adopted. There are about 2,000 orphans in South Ukraine, and approximately 7,000 across Ukraine left without a loving home. Unfortunately, not many families are ready to welcome an orphaned child into their home. Some of the main reasons are negative medical diagnoses and a lack of comprehensive information about the children in government databases.
With the money it raises, Change One Life Ukraine generates video profiles for each orphaned child. The videos allow them to introduce themselves, their talents, hopes and dreams to families searching for a son or daughter. The profiles are then promoted through social media, mass media and adoption communities to speed up the process of finding forever families for these children.
Video profiles open the doors of the orphanages to society and help people to overcome their doubts about orphaned children. The foundation hopes to change the attitude towards adoption in society and get new people involved.
