The stock index Standard&Poor’s 500 is one of the major stock indices in the USA. It is calculated by Standard&Poor’s. The index includes 500 largest by the market capitalization companies of the American stock market what makes it the most accurate indicator reflecting the dynamics of the American economy. It is being published since March 4, 1957.

S&P500 Index is one of the fullest reflection of investor expectations regarding the economic growth in the US in general not much depending on the situation in separate companies and sectors.
