Morocco stocks lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.09%

Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Forestry&Paper, Utilities and Construction&Building Materials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.09%.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Oulmes (CS:OULM), which rose 4.08% or 49 points to trade at 1250 at the close. Meanwhile, Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA) added 2.45% or 31.0 points to end at 1295.0 and Bmce Bank (CS:BMCE) was up 2.17% or 4.35 points to 204.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Colorado (CS:COL), which fell 6.99% or 5.30 points to trade at 70.50 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) declined 6.49% or 6.49 points to end at 93.51 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was down 6.01% or 1.35 points to 21.10.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 16 to 8 and 8 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.09% or 0.06 to $67.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $72.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.70 to trade at $1219.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.15% to 10.9430, while USD/MAD rose 0.31% to 9.4669.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 95.32.
