Indonesia stocks higher at close of trade; IDX Composite Index up 0.20%

Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Property, Consumer Industry and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index gained 0.20%.

The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were MD Pictures Tbk PT (JK:FILM), which rose 24.49% or 120 points to trade at 610 at the close. Meanwhile, Puradelta Lestari Tbk Pt (JK:DMAS) added 19.20% or 24 points to end at 149 and MAP Aktif Adiperkasa Tbk PT (JK:MAPA) was up 18.50% or 690 points to 4420 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Steadfast Marine PT (JK:KPAL), which fell 24.89% or 280 points to trade at 845 at the close. Rig Tenders Tbk (JK:RIGS) declined 13.45% or 64 points to end at 412 and Bukit Uluwatu Villa Tbk (JK:BUVA) was down 9.93% or 28 points to 254.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 186 to 181 and 138 ended unchanged.

Shares in MD Pictures Tbk PT (JK:FILM) rose to all time highs; rising 24.49% or 120 to 610. Shares in MAP Aktif Adiperkasa Tbk PT (JK:MAPA) rose to all time highs; up 18.50% or 690 to 4420.

Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.04% or 0.03 to $66.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $72.07 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.70 to trade at $1217.20 a troy ounce.

USD/IDR was up 0.31% to 14483.9, while AUD/IDR fell 3.24% to 10646.40.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 95.88.
