The noted push back above 22,700 in the DAX yesterday did extend beyond the earlier intraday record, at 22,719. The index did not look back ahead of the close and later lifted above 22,800, setting a new all time high, at 22,804. The index subsequently set a new record close, at 22,798. Since the close yesterday, the DAX futures have moved higher and at one stage yesterday were pricing the opening close to 22,900. They have pared that now though and are currently pricing it around 22,815
