USD/JPY rises to session highs after ADP payrolls increase by 184k

The March US ADP payroll report has just been released. The number of payrolls increased by 184k last month and that was well above the consensus. Just ahead of this data, the EUR/USD had been edging higher, setting session highs at 1.0786. At the same time, the USD/JPY had remained near session highs too. So, the upshot of that was a rise in the EUR/JPY, to its best levels of the day thus far. The impact of this ADP report has sent the EUR/USD a little lower, but surprisingly at this stage not by very much yet. The USD/JPY has risen on this though and lifted to 151.84, which is closer to the current 2024 highs, 151.97.
