USD/JPY pushes higher as risk improves

Following on from the previous update looking at the recent drop back in Gold, it is not much of a surprise to see that the Yen has weakened a bit more too. Earlier the USD/JPY did have another brief look below the 145 handle, but that has now given way to a modest rebound back above 145.30 just now. The move higher in the USD/JPY is part of a more wider rise in the dollar which has seen the EUR/USD dip back to test the 1.12 handle. That is still just abut holding for the time being and it really depends on how much further the USD/JPY might rebound as to whether that level remains intact. The USD/JPY is right now at 145.34
