USD/JPY latently reacts to latest BOJ comments

The USD/JPY has now lifted back above the 156 handle in a move that seems rather delayed following comments around 50 minutes ago from a leading Japanese official regarding their current monetary policy. Nakamura has stated that raising interest rates right now would be premature and he also noted that the BOJ cannot entirely control FX moves with a monopoly. Now that is quite a strange comment for a BOJ member to make, albeit entirely true in the wider sense. So, the dollar has latently reacted to his comments and now lifted just above 156.15 a short while ago.
