USD/JPY falls to a new 2025 low underneath 144.50
The Yen has been gaining ground now this morning as the whole risk dynamic turns south and that has seen a flight to the Japanese currency and not just versus the dollar. The major Yen crosses are all lower now too. The USD/JPY just hit its lowest level of the year to date and the lowest level since October last year. The low seen just now was set at 144.43. The risk of more downside looks like it is on the table, especially if the current risk dynamic deteriorates even more than it has so far today. The USD/JPY is right now at 144.44
