USD/JPY falls below 153 for the first time since early December
As just mentioned in the previous update looking at the reaction in the Pound to the PMI data, the USD/JPY was also mentioned in reference to the GBP/JPY. Well, since earlier this morning the USD/JPY has now fallen below the 153 handle for the first time since December 13. The low seen so far has been set at 152.64 and it is not much above that low at the time of writing. The earlier noted call for the GBP/JPY to fall to 180.00 by a leading player was also noted and as you can see the GBP/JPY is now lower this morning. There is no endorsement of that GBP/JPY call here though. That is not to say it is the wrong call, but more a direct lack of opinion on it just now. The USD/JPY is right now at 152.72
