The USD/JPY has pushed higher so far this morning. Yesterday the dollar peaked at 142.75 and then fell back to just below the 142 handle (141.97 the low) as the European markets drew to a close. That fall was surely delivered by the disappointing US data releases seen yesterday. Earlier in the day it had held that 142 level and rebounded. The USD/JPY closed in the US last night at 142.33. The broader price action is still within a range defined by the low at 139.89 and a high at 144.03. It is worth noting the 21 day moving average is in place around that level this morning, not that it is on the radar at the moment. The range seen today has been covered so far by 142.17 and 142.56. The most recent price action has been towards that session high. USD/JPY is right now at 142.52
