USD/JPY edges lower ahead of the European opening

As mentioned here yesterday afternoon, the Yen was most definitely the focus of all the action across the major currencies. The dynamic rebound from a low at 140.26 later led the dollar back to a high at 141.59 ahead of the US close. The dollar later ended that session at 141.41. Earlier today it had another push on the topside, which delivered a high at 141.67, but it has backed off now. The USD/JPY is just now setting session lows at 141.21. As dynamic as it was yesterday afternoon, the rebound in the dollar does not mean it will avoid further falls again today. To be honest though, I am rather uncertain as to what path it might take heading into the final weekly close of the year. One thing looks certain though and that is the Japanese currency looks like it will hold centre stage again today, as the year draws to a close. It is currently trading at 141.24
