USD/CNH rises towards 7.40 after US trade tariff announcement on China
Earlier today an update here focused on the USD/CNH and warned readers to keep an eye on it, if it busted above the previous all time high at 7.3749. Well that is what it has just now done. The catalyst for the upside break was news a moment ago from the White House Press secretary, announcing that 104% Chinese tariffs are now going into effect, following the failure of the Chinese government to remove their retaliatory actions. So, the USD/CNH is now approaching 7.40 and could easily extend the move higher by the looks of things right now
