US yield rebound is surely not good news for the Nasdaq 100?
The US stock market will reopen for live trading any minute now and ahead of that those UDS treasury yields are now rising further and that is most definitely denting the outlook for the Nasdaq 100 reopening. As reported on here much earlier today, the index managed to force daily close above 16k last night. The Nasdaq 100 closed at 16,022. The futures price is now indicating it will reopen at closer to 15,900 this afternoon. The inference is clear here; higher US yields are not helpful to the Nasdaq 100 index and unless those gains abate, it might be a very contrasting start to the session for the tech index this afternoon
