US Treasury secretary fires warning shot over US tariffs- S+P 500 futures slip

The US Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent is talking over the wires right now and it has issued some warnings to US trading partners, regarding FX manipulation and potential further tariff increases, if planned US measures are countered. His comments have also covered the potential for maximum sanctions against Russia and Iran if they are required. These comments have sent US equity futures a little lower. So, now it is not such a certain outlook for the S+P 500 or the Nasdaq 100 opening this afternoon. The S+P 500 is now pricing an opening close to the 6,100 mark, where earlier is was close to the current record, at 6,128.
