US stocks turn lower into the European close- Nasdaq 100 still struggling to reclaim 18k

It will not be long until the European stock markets draw to a close and it remains to be seen if it will be a positive close for the major markets in Europe, certainly not for the FTSE 100 by the looks of the current price action. The US markets all opened higher today, but right now momentum seems to have turned for the time being. The Nasdaq 100 has not been able to make it back above 18k this afternoon and now the Dow Jones is turning lower after rising close to 39,250. The dollar has held its gains versus the Yen and moved a little higher right now versus the GBP and the Euro. Once again that seems all down to those US yields. They are still higher this afternoon and that might also be finally helping to stall momentum in US stocks. The Nasdaq 100 is currently trading at around 17,965
