US stocks rotate into the close as Dow Jones falls

Yesterday the noted rotation favouring the tech sector later ensured the Nasdaq 100 did not end the day in the red. However, at the same time, because of that rotation, the Dow Jones ended the session 344 points lower, at 42,931. Overnight the Asian markets are mixed with Japan leading any losses, as the Nikkei falls close to 1.5%. That has dented the Dow Jones futures this morning and pushed them lower again. The Nasdaq 100 futures are in the red this morning too. There are some big US companies reporting Q3 earnings today, which could impact the Dow, but more on that later this morning. Meantime, the Dow Jones futures are currently pricing the opening for later on at around 42,875
