US stocks open in the red- check out there Nasdaq 100 as markets wait on Powell

The US stock markets have just reopened for live trading amid some fresh comments from a Fed 2026 voter (Hammack- a hawk) and besides that the main indexes were set to open lower anyway. The Nasdaq 100 is just about edging the moves to the downside in percentage terms at the moment, but we do know just how quickly that might change. The index closed last night at 21,756. It just reopened at 21,629. The low seen so far has been set at 21,628, but it is bouncing off that low now, as all the US stock markets await to see what the Fed boss, Jerome Powell has to sat shortly, at 3pm GMT. The Nasdaq 100 is currently trading at 21,705
