US stocks open in the red- check out the early price action in the Dow Jones

The US stock markets have just kicked off the new week and it has been a lower start to the day for the three major indexes. As noted here much earlier today, on Friday the tech sector and the Nasdaq 100 led the closing gains. The worst performing index in percentage terms on Friday was the Dow Jones. Its closed higher by just 0.81%, compared to a 0.90% rise for the S+P 500 and 1.22% for the Nasdaq 100. The Dow Jones closed 341 points higher, 42,352. It has just this minute reopened around the 42,200 mark and fallen towards 42,150 and the lower opening comes amid further negative headlines concerning the situation in the Middle East.
