The US stock markets have just this minute reopened for live trade and it has not been a positive start to the day. The Dow Jones has led the opening losses in percentage terms and that has come amid a slightly more risk off tone across the markets. Gold is now lower on the US opening as it further rejects a move above the noted resistance at $2,760. The dollar is a little lower on the opening as well, but that is only in respect of handing back some of its earlier session gains. The Dow Jones officially reopened at 42,834, but that was just a book keeping entry. The effective opening was below 42,700 and it has just hit a session low at 42,636. The poor results from Boeing (BA) earlier this afternoon have not helped the index on the opening today. The move lower in US stocks comes as the Bank of Canada will shortly announce the outcome of their monetary policy decision, at 1.45pm GMT. The Dow Jones is currently trading at 42,695
