US stocks open lower amid mixed price action-Nasdaq 100 leads losses in early trading
The US stock markets have not long been open for business and it has been a lower start across the board. There is the usual early session gyrations though and it is not entirely clear how any rotation between the Dow Jones and the Nasdaq 100 will play out. Right now the Nasdaq 100 is the lead underperforming index and that has seen its drop back towards 20,400, remembering the index closed last night at 20,550. The reader is also reminded of the important earnings reports from Meta and Microsoft after the closing bell. An update here will follow ahead of those and immediately afterwards.
