US stocks open higher- check out the Nasdaq 100
The US stock markets have just reopened and it has been a higher opening, where much earlier today it was looking like the opposite might play out. The initial reaction to the US PPI data has also been reversed and US have fallen back a bit more since the last update and that is supporting the opening gains for stocks this afternoon. The Nasdaq 100 closed last night at 21,719, with a rather meagre 25 point gain on the session. It has just this minute reopened around 21,800 and it is a similar story for the Dow Jones and the S+P 500 too. The one thing to note here about the markets later towards the close, is that apparently a US press conference concerning tariffs is due at 6pm GMT. If there is a further update on that then you will be notified here. The Nasdaq 100 is currently trading around 21,850
