US stocks open higher-check out the Dow Jones
The US stock markets have just reopened for the final live trading session of the week and it has been an across the board higher start to the day. The Dow Jones has officially reopened at 39,466 after closing last night at 39,387. However, as usual that opening price was more of a book entry than it was a price to trade off. The index has immediately lifted above 39,500 and given the gains seen yesterday, of more than 300 points, maybe it is not beyond the bounds of possibility; that the index might have a shot at a new all time higher today? In order to do that though, it will need to climb above 39,899 by the close tonight. The high seen so far has been set at 39,530. It is just now trading at 39,515
