US stocks off to a lower start today- check out the Dow Jones right now

The US stock markets have just reopened and it has been a lower start to the session. The futures prices were all lower ahead of that opening and that had seen the S+P 500 price it closer to, or even below 6,000, where for most of the morning it was around 6,015. The Nasdaq 100 was further in the red too and so was the Dow Jones. In fact all three futures prices were pretty much matching strides leading into the opening, each slightly more than 0.50% in the red. The Dow Jones was the only one of the three majors to post a higher close last night, albeit only just. The Dow Jones closed just 28 points higher, at 43,325. It has just officially reopened at 43,142, but so far that was merely a book entry and not a price to trade at yet. The index has fallen back further in the first minute of life trade. The low so far being set at 43,031. However, it is extremely early in the session, so we cannot rule out another turnaround, but as to whether that does increase the chance of a meaningful Santa rally over the next few days is also far from certain too. The Dow Jones is currently trading at 43,085
