US stocks close higher but futures in the red this morning- Nasdaq 100 slips

Yesterday the higher openings across all the US stock market indexes held all the way till the close, as all three major indexes reversed much of the losses seen last Friday. The Nasdaq 100 was the leader in that respect, gaining 1.30% on the session. That compared to gains of 1.20% for the Dow Jones and 1.16% for the S+P 500. The Nasdaq 100 gained 239 points, closing at 18,660. However, this morning the Nasdaq 100 futures are lower, as the Asian markets hold only modest gains at the moment. The Nikkei 225 is not much higher this morning. The Nasdaq 100 is currently priced to reopen later today, at or just below the 18,600 mark
